ARM 7th floor - Portland Street Manchester
Jennor UK Limited were highly delighted to secure this extensive and most unusual ‘CAT B’ fit-out upon the 7th floor of Westminster House within 11 Portland Street, Manchester.
Although we were provided with an outline design, we also played some small part in liaising with the clients Principal Designers in terms of the ‘workability’ of some of their stunning creations through our 40 years of hand’s-on experience.

What we did:
As with arm’s existing office space upon the 7th Floor, this newly taken wing was also to contain many themed rooms based on their Staff’s favourite films and T.V. shows.
We were to create the Gothic feel to the Library Room inspired by the Harry Potter films by supplying and installing faux Stone featured windows with arched key-stones and faux stone mullions, finished off with genuine Diamond Leading alongside a multitude of false bookends.
We created 3 Space themed rooms paying homage to Star Wars, Red Dwarf and Dr Who …, all with completely realistic furniture and fully immersive active display walls containing sizable LED T.V. screens and full external window manifestations displaying passing Spaceships relevant to each of the programmes.
We created a Jungle themed room which contained large swathes of false Amazonian foliage affixed across the whole of the ceiling and walls, just allowing enough space to allow the specialist mood lighting to creep through & the LED T.V. screens to be viewed. We also supplied a selection of Bamboo tables and chairs and completed the room with a depth-perceptive glazed screen showing a ridiculously genuine looking Jungle Tiger prowling just close enough to unsettle the hardiest of souls’
Our extensive fit-out included the following: –
- Standard Plasterboard Partitions
- Frameless Full Height Tempered Glazed Partitions and Frameless Doors
- The installation of highly bespoke and unique themed rooms, including loose furniture, built-in & bespoke storage cabinets and various other one-off pieces of Objet d’art specific to each room
- Specialist giant one-off glazed Partition & Window manifestations
- New standard LED lighting to the main office areas and themed lighting to the new Film/T.V. meeting rooms
- Large new Staff Kitchen
- The supply and installation of a large number of standard banks of staff desks and chairs within the main office area
- Full new M. & E. Package
- Several new & private meeting Pod’s, all fitted with self-sufficient ‘tech’
- New Data & Electric points set within newly installed & bespoke furniture, most purposely hidden from open view
- Large and varied selection of flooring inc. Ceramic Tiled, Vinyl, Carpet and Carpet Tiles
- Full standard decoration to the common areas & new staff Kitchen and bespoke colour schemes to the Themed Rooms
